title: Amazing way God works in One's life
date: Tuesday, March 24, 2009
time:9:20 AM
It is really amazing how God really works in one’s life.

On Thursday, all I knew was that I wanted someone to accompany me through the dull morning as I left my house too early. He provided me with the thought to just call Aniza and ask her out. I merely passed an invite card that was given to us last week to her and told her briefly about the event. Although she was afraid that she might have a lecture that day, I could tell that she had actually agreed to come.

After the “event”, God gave me 3 opportunities to share this story......

On Friday, just one day after the event, I attended “Channel Heaven Reloaded” and I was given the opportunity to share this with a group of 20 youths who attended it.

On Saturday, during WG, Matt again asked if anyone managed to ‘Bless’ someone the past week and I shared the same story with my WG.

The group only goes larger. On Saturday afternoon, I received a message from Kat in the afternoon, saying “Hi grace, can I ask you to share in 1 minute’s time on how you blessed Aniza when I talk to the youths about the easter outreach tonight? You basically share what you shared last night in channel heaven but in 1 minute. Write down what you want to say, say it, time it. I can meet you before svc to run through it. Ok? J” Of course, you could have known, I didn’t decline the offer and that night, I shared it with the WEB youths.

It was really interesting. I actually wrote what I wanted to say down and normally, when I start to stand in front of the crowd, I would forget what I wrote and start forming stories on my own that is similar to what I intended to say. But this time, I actually said exactly what I wrote and made it more conversational to the WEB youths. It was really amazing.

This was what I said: “Basically, what happened was last Thursday, I just felt like calling one of my ex- classmates Aniza, her name was actually in the prayer calendar that you guys received too. The agenda was meant to be just to ask her out for a meal and to chat over the meal, as a form of catching up with her. Incidentally, during the call, she told me that our testimonial was out and she was about to collect it on that day. I volunteered to accompany her back to our secondary school. On the way back, I passed her a copy of the invite card that we were given last week and asked her out to the “Get Alive” event. What excites me is that she agreed to come! You’ve got to understand, I’ve been praying for her for 3 years and it is really God’s divine appointment that we were able to meet that day. Although she is currently a JC student and might have lectures on Saturdays, she told me that if she has no lecture on that day, she would come. Now, I’m really praying that God would really free up her time and allow her to come for the event.”

Indeed, God is faithful. I really have to say that I did not do anything much and really do not deserve any credit. It is really God that is working through the prayers. I have been praying for her for 3 years and the WEB youths have also been praying for her as her name was in the prayer calendar. All I could say is “When we pray, we work; When we pray, God works”. I am really thankful for the answer prayer and I continue to pray that all of my friend that I have invited, whether through Facebook or by hand, that they would come for the event and experience the love of God in a different way.

title: Channel Heaven Reloaded
date: Friday, March 20, 2009
time:8:51 PM
I attended the “Channel Heaven Reloaded” today. I actually tried my best to attend it as I was in JB today. I actually went back after I sent my laptop for configuration.

At the meeting today, we looked at 1 Samuel 14 as our devotional passage. We actually discussed about how we could use this verse in our life as application. In this verse, we saw how Jonathan had been courageous, taking up the command of God to go forth to the country of Philistine. How he had trusted in the Lord and not lying back, staying in our comfort zone. The reason for this was because that he only had one spear and sword in his hand. All he went forth with was himself and his armour-bearer.

I actually learnt from this passage that it is not the number that matters but it is who that we go forth in with us that matters. Another learning point was that when God is calling us, we should be pro- active. We should rise up in courage and place our confidence in the Lord. Hence, before we face obstacles, we should remember that it is the Lord that is with us and that when God is with us, no one can be against us.

During the session, we were asked if anyone managed to bless someone this week. Well, I had managed to bless 4 of my ex- classmates yesterday, on the 19th of March. I was supposed to send my laptop for configuring yesterday and I asked Shad to accompany me to go for the configuration. She is also a student in RP. I was quite delighted that she actually agreed to go with me. However, since I left the house early, I called Aniza, just for us to chat. Hence, I asked her out. She told me across the phone that our testimonial has reached our school but that all of us have yet to get the chance to collect them. So, I decided that I would go with her back to our secondary school to collect our testimonial. On the way, I managed to ask her if she was willing to come with me for the “Get Alive” event and she said must see if there are any lectures on that day. Hence, I take it as a “YES”.

As for Shad, when we met, I asked her if she was free on 11th April, to come for the “Get Alive” event. She told me that she did not have any event on that day and so she agreed to come for the event. At RP, I met with Nalani and Aisyah. Although Nalani is already a Christian, I gave both of them an invite and chat with them. Hence, I did not have any chance to ask if they are coming. However, I still do sincerely pray that they would actually come for the event.
Continuing with what happened during the event, we prayed according to the prayer guidelines that were provided and even took a photo together thereafter. I really thank God for the opportunity to participate with this prayer movement of the WEB ministry.

title: A Much Dreaded Orientation
date: Wednesday, March 11, 2009
time:2:13 AM
Ok... Went to RP for orientation today together with my Old or rather ex- Classmate Shad... She was posted to Integrated Events Management while I was posted to Pharmaceutical Science in RP.... It was a much dreaded orientation as I spent all in all 5 hours over about 5 stations.... It averages out to be an hour per station?

Oh well, I was then reminded by a verse that I have learnt in the book of Philippians... Philippians 2:14 "Do everything out without complaining or arguing"... I guess there isn't much to lament about either......

Actually, I reached RP at 9am where the queue outside Agora Hall 4 was not extremely long (at least I thought that I was 'early')... To my surprise, once I entered Agora Hall 4, I had to queue at the end of each snake like queue manager (I guess this is what you call it).... Anyway, only managed to get out of RP at 2pm...... Incredible?

Thereafter, went for lunch, applied for O Level Private Candidate, came to British Council... Blogging now! Hence, I am really very very very tired now... Hope I do not start spouting nonsense for the next few hours man......

title: Do not be ashamed of the Gospel of God
date: Wednesday, March 4, 2009
time:7:53 PM
Well, in today's DJ, I was reminded again that I should not be ashamed of the message of God, the story of Jesus Christ. As Christians, I have learnt that it is not the greatness of me that I live today, but it is the greatness of Him that I survived.

In school during 2008, I realised that I have been like a mouse, a mouse-y Christian. Quite quiet until someone approaches me or when a task is given to me. Well, as for declaring my faith in class is even much more a mission impossible for me.

However, due to the constant reminder from my WG leaders and even WEB leaders, I was convicted time and time again that I should learn to OWN the Gospel, that I should not hide the 'Good News' in my heart any longer but to share and pass it on!

Hence, to get myself started, I managed to get an Evangecube that I could start sharing and passing on the Gospel, isn't it nice? This year, I even aim to Bless 50, Connect 25, Win 5 and Disciple 1.

This also reminds me of an email that I read yesterday...

"Dart Test..
THIS IS A POWERFUL MESSAGE. PLEASE READ ALL OF IT. I AM PASSING IT ON BECAUSE I AM CERTAINLY NOT ASHAMED TO DO SO.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke, it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.............

Dart Test...
A young lady named Sally, relates an experience she had in a seminary class, given by her teacher, Dr. Smith . She says that Dr. Smith was known for his elaborate object lessons. One particular day, Sally walked into the seminary and knew they were in for a fun day. On the wall was a big target and on a nearby table were many darts.

Dr. Smith told the students to draw a picture of someone that they disliked or someone who had made them angry, and he would allow them to throw darts at the person's picture. Sally's friend drew a picture of who had stolen her boyfriend. Another friend drew a picture of his little brother. Sally drew a picture of a former friend, putting a great deal of detail into her drawing, even drawing pimples on the face. Sally was pleased with the overall effect she had achieved. The class lined up and began throwing darts. Some of the students threw their darts with such force that their targets were ripping apart. Sally looked forward to her turn, and was filled with disappointment when Dr. Smith , because of time limits, asked the students to return to their seats. As Sally sat thinking about how angry she was because she didn't have a chance to throw any darts at her target. Dr. Smith began removing the target from the wall.

Underneath the target was a picture of Jesus. A hush fell over the room as each student viewed the mangled picture of Jesus; holes and jagged marks covered His face and His eyes were pierced.

Dr. Smith said only these words....' In as much as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me .' Matthew 25:40.

No other words were necessary; the tears filled eyes of the students focused only on the picture of Christ. This is an easy test; you score 100 or zero . It's your choice.

If you aren't ashamed to do this, please follow the directions. Jesus said, ' If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you, before My Father.' Not ashamed... pass this on. Ashamed .. . delete it. Isn't it funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. I

Isn't it funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Isn't it funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have to believe, think, say, or do anything the Bible says. Or is it scary? Isn't it funny how someone can say ' I believe in God ' but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also 'believes' in God ). Isn't it funny how you can send a thousand jokes through e-mail and! they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord , people think twice about sharing . Isn't it funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but the public discussion of Jesus is suppressed in the school and workplace. Isn't it funny how someone can be so fired up for Christ on Sunday, but be an invisible Christian the rest of the week.

Are you laughing?

Isn't it funny how when you go to forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them. Isn't it funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me.

Will YOU pass this on? ... I just did"

Also, I realised one thing... "Disciples don't try, they train".... This has always been the phrase that I was constantly reminded......

It has been quite a long post.... :) Toodles...

WOW! Time Flies... My enrolment is comming up next week and I'm looking forward to meeting one of my ex- class mates...

On the 14th of March, I'm fully booked with church activities... From morning till 11pm at night... So, sorry to those who have asked me out... But... Its okay, we could really meet another time...

As for now, its really time I start to think about the enrolment details... All the things that I would need to prepare need to be prepared and all those things that need to be filled up has to be filled up first...

Though lots and lots to be done, I know I would have the fun completing them all....

In the mean time, I am also planning for Bond Building activities for children aged 11-12. So if anyone has any great suggestions, do let me noe....

Toodles...
